Heart Hand Hohm began before I ever thought it would be anything someone would be interested in, much less a piece of art they’d want!

Since I’m an ADD kinda girl, studying the bible was always a challenge. It ALWAYS started out good, then I would get to “thous, they, begats, lineage…” and well, then the distractions began.

Amazon truck.
Cell phone.
Laundry.
And on and on and on.

It was one day while I was looking for recipes that a bible journal page popped up and BAM! I was drawn in (no pun intended)! I have a creative side to me and love to draw, so it all began from there.

I started drawing and studying the word – and I was learning! It helped me because when I drew, I was learning ONE VERSE at a time and not trying to learn the whole chapter!

One Christmas I gifted all of my friends one of my pages…then I got a phone call, “Hey Karen, I have a coworker that wants to know what you’d charge for one of these pages?”

Imagine that minion look of, “Whattttt?” That’s how it all started! Six years later, here I am, drawing, hosting vendor events, and now teaching workshops!
